Oklahoma recognizes valid postnuptial agreements under limited circumstances.

The purpose of Oklahoma Title 43 O.S. § 204 is to permit inter-spousal conveyances for the benefit of the marital estate and the spouses.  

As a mediator, and in tandem with a mental health professional, OKlaw4families works with couples trying to preserve their marriage.  We reach confidential agreements to resolve the often mundane aspects of a marriage that tear it apart – from who carries out the trash to what to do with an overdraft notice, to sharing parental responsibilities.  Typically these agreements would not be recognized in an Oklahoma court nor could these agreements be enforced – but often a neutral third- party can help resolve the details that drive people crazy!
